The Casual MisFits is a new school hip hop music duo from Columbia, South Carolina. The band consists of recording artists, Quan "QG" Greene and Mario "Moretti" Jordan. The two are childhood friends whose style and musical interests led to The MisFit or Quit (MFOQ) campaign and eventually the formation of a band. The two began recording in the late summer of 2010 and have since drawn the likes of numerous artists, designers, photographers, producers and videographers from across the country. The "Casual" sound is a blend of alternative sampling, hip hop and live instruments. The band credits Bob Marley, N*E*R*D, Hootie and the Blowfish, G.O.O.D. Music, Frank Ocean, and Wiz Khalifa among major influences. The duo began a widespread buzz across the internet with the release of their debut mixtape, LAstDayHome in early 2012. The band released their second mixtape, GoodAsSummer in the summer of 2012. The MisFits are currently performing and recording their next project, CasualCafé, set to be released in early 2013.
